Riyad Mahrez the Al Ahli Saudi winger, continues to impress on the Asian stage adding another goal to his tally in the AFC Champions League Elite 2025.
Mahrez Strikes in Al Ahli’s Victory
Al Ahli faced Al Rayyan in the 1st leg of the Round of 16 at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday night. The Algerian international doubled his side’s lead with exquisite free kick in the 34 minute.
Mahrez’s goal came from rare indirect free kick inside the penalty area. With the ball slightly nudged by Roberto Firmino, Mahrez fired precise left footed strike into the top left corner of the net leaving the goalkeeper with no chance.
Dominating the AFC Champions League Elite
With this goal Mahrez cements his place as the most influential player in the tournament, taking his total goal contributions to 13 this season.
