The first leg of the Champions League semi-final against Internazionale was a rollercoaster affair with six goals and the reappearance of a familiar face. Barça’s Danish defender Andreas Christensen made his first appearance in blaugrana for 256 days.
Second appearance of the season
The last time Christensen appeared in a Barça shirt was on the opening day of La Liga away from home at Valencia back in August of last year. After playing 26 minutes in that match he suffered a long term Achilles’ injury which kept him and then a calf injury which delayed his comeback.
For the last seven games the Denmark international had been in the squad but it was not until his appearance in the 83rd minute of the game against Inter Milan in the Champions League did he finally return to action. Replacing his team mate Pau Cubarsí, we can say Andreas Christensen is now back.
