Bangladesh Railway will operate five pairs of special trains to ensure smooth journey during the Eid-ul-Fitr.
Bangladesh Railway Director General (DG) Md Afzal Hossain revealed the information in an inter ministerial meeting on Sunday afternoon (March 9).
According to the decision, advance intercity train tickets for March 24 will be available on March 14. Similarly, tickets for journey on March 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 will be sold ten days ahead.
Railway will start selling of train tickets of west zone from 8 am while selling of tickets of east zone will begin at 2 pm every day.
Ticket for train journeys on March 31, April 1 and 2 will be sold based on sighting of the moon. Around 35,913 tickets will be sold for the coming Eid-ul-Fitr.
