FT: Man City 2-0 Aston Villa
Aston Villa boss Natalia Arroyo speaking to BBC One: “We came here dreaming to be in the semi-finals and stay alive.
We had a good game but not good enough to beat these big teams. We work hard,
but not hard enough to beat these teams.
“We had chances to score before
half-time, but we couldn’t take them. I’m pleased with the team. We need to
score more, concede less and win games.”
On whether Ebony Salmon’s miss affected her mentality: “No, not really. She had two other big chances. She was trying
again and trying again, she was training harder to get the minutes she wants.
“She had a great half an hour against Everton, that’s why she deserved to play.
She had over good chances. I’m very happy and proud of her. Her work out of
possession is something we want to work with her.”
